Biography:
Hello, I am Associate Professor Dr. Kaan Irgit. I completed my primary, secondary, and high school education at TED Ankara College. After graduating from Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Medicine, I became a specialist in orthopedics and traumatology at Ankara Training and Research Hospital. I received arthroscopy training at a private hospital in Ankara and then completed a fellowship in arthroscopy and sports injuries at Barcelona Clinica Del Pilar. I also received fellow training in foot and ankle surgery at the Hospital for Surgery on two separate occasions. Following basic and advanced training from AO (the institution providing the highest level of education in orthopedic trauma), I worked as a research fellow in orthopedic trauma in the USA for 2.5 years. I also received training as a trainer of trainers at AO.
Throughout my 25-year career, I have received master-level training in sports injuries and arthroscopy, foot and ankle surgery, and orthopedic trauma, and I have served as a president or board member of various associations. I have authored scientific publications and book chapters in these three areas. I have been involved in organizing dozens of seminars, meetings, and congresses. I am one of the rare physicians in the world who has received training and can provide education in three different subfields. I have conducted studies on joint injections and cartilage healing. I have actively contributed to the establishment and development of various associations. I have worked with dozens of sports clubs and participated in the treatment processes of hundreds of patients from various sports disciplines.
I have always approached my patients with conscience, intelligence, and scientific methods. As a physician, my goal is not only to treat diseases but also to take the necessary measures to maintain health. I look forward to working together for a healthy life.
